I have a massive post a little later today, but I thought I'd post this outfit to get your appetite goin' for the recap of my first few days aboard the Brave!
This outfit is from Tuesday, though truth be told I totally slept in it so I guess it's from Monday/Tuesday. It's quite chilly in the northern latitudes, so I went with pants. No dresses for me. Would've been especially silly especially since I was/am a grease monkey from working on my engine (an adventure you'll hear all about in the post later today...). Once I get to Washington I'm hoping it'll be warm enough to wear my dresses. I have almost my whole wardrobe in the Brave, so outfits should continue, though perhaps slightly less frequently.
These jeans are brand new and guess what- Simon totally ripped them! Jerk. Haha. We were playing outside and he was ripping around running by me and he lept up, snagged his tooth on my jeans and his whole body flipped around my leg as his sharp little puppy tooth tore a hole in my jeans. Oh well. You can't really see it and I'm definitely still going to wear these pants all the time because they're so damn comfy.

Wow. I remember when you did your first trip about the Brave trip.. and honestly I didn't know if you would be able to go through with it. It takes an enormous amount of courage, strength, dreaming, saving, and determination. You have surpassed all of that & here you are, doing your first real Brave trip post. I hope you are incredibly proud of yourself for taking this ginormous step in your life.
Can't wait for that post about the start of your trip!
Wow your Outfits are always so great! Love it! xXx bisous!
You are so kick ass. period!
So lovely yet so simple! Great Outfit:) xx, Alice from bells and whistles.
Thank you for sharing your adventure. You are amazing! A few years ago I wanted to drive an RV up to Alaska, but life's responsibilities got in the way - so I will vicariously enjoy your expedition.
It is fantastic to see you out on the road, and enjoying it. Hope it is all going well. Did either of your dogs end up going along with you?
I remember when it was just an idea - now you're really doing it! Heck, I remember when you BOUGHT the brave! You go girl, for following your dream. So inspiring.
I think you need to write a book!

Ahh, this is so amazing!! The dream begins!! :):)
On the Road!!! Congratulations! You make a cute grease monkey.
So great to see you on the road. I love the Target boots. Are they a recent purchase?
I think this round of posts covering your road trip is going to break my heart a little bit. During the last 3 summrs I've been able to fit in road trips that ranged from a month long to just a 10 days, but this summer I just couldn't do it. I started my first career job in May and I have to soldier on through 6 months before I get any vacation time.
But I love the pictures and the Brave. I can't wait to see the rest of your adventures --- even though I might cry now and then.
Great pictures Elizabeth! You look very cute.
This is so inspiring - I'd love to do what you're doing and drive around England in the autumn and see all the colours. I'm currently living my own dream interning in London, but seeing your blog and all your amazing sights and talk of home makes me miss mine, miss the country, miss my family and my pet, who couldn't come with me :( good luck on your journey, can't wait for the next installment.
