what's in a name

This outfit went through at least four different incarnations before I settled on this one. And actually I ended up changing it a bit after I took these pictures but was too tired to go out and take more. This is my namesake dress from ModCloth. I kind of find myself having difficulty styling it, ironically. I wish it had sleeves, or something. Maybe I'll try to DIY it and make it more wearable. What can I say, I kinda really like sleeves! But not all sleeves. I don't like long sleeves, they irritate my wrists. And I hate cap sleeves, ugh. I like well done short-med length sleeves, or long sleeves that don't look dumb rolled up. And there's my sleeve policy. I'm sure you all cared immensely about it.

I ventured out of my back alley to a tiny park nearby! I'm so adventurous. Not. Only slightly less lazy. I had to walk a whole 50 yards! Maybe this weekend I will go out and find some fun photo places that are not within a 50 yard radius of my house.
So far I don't really have any plans for the weekend, but my brain has some thoughts, so we'll see how that all pans out. I have a couple errands to run today, but other than that... the sky's the limit! Okay, well maybe not "the sky" but there are options...

Love the hat! Hey. I saw you the other day at the airshow but by the time I got kids etc. situated to run over and introduce myself you were lost in the crowd. Sad! Oh well, you looked great there too and maybe there will be another "sighting" someday! Have a fantastic weekend...

That's amazing that you have a name sake dress on Modcloth. It's very sweet. I especially love the back bow.

I can see that maybe it would be a bit harder to style

I like it! It looks cute on you. You should broaden your sleeve horizons. hehe I love no-sleeves. But that's probably because I live in a sauna (South Texas). :P Have a great weekend!

i think you look great in that dress and your hair is just wonderful!

Haha 'sleeve policy', that's pretty good.
I must agree though. I like sleeves atm because for some reason my arms look all chubby at the top, and a nice sleeve covers that.
Nice hat :)

I love the cut of that dress and the back ~ it looks great. Epsecially with the boater hat!

I am so craving on of those, but I have yet to find one/find a hat that is suitable to remake into a boater...

Congrats on a namesake dress! Even though it took you awhile to style, it does look quite beautiful on you.

That dress is adorable and looks great on you! I agree with you that sleeves are awesome, but I'm not as picky :p Really cute look.

I have similar feelings about sleeves.

Also, this is probably weird, but I totally love how you're so short, and rocking those curvy hips and booty. It makes me happy to see another girl with a similar body type! So inspiring.

The dress is quite pretty-you're so lucky they named it after you.

I feel like I have chubby upper arms (but my wrists are as dainty as can be-odd!) so I love sleeves. But at the same time long sleeves make me feel like a sausage. Just sharing my sleeve policy too! :)

i am in full agreement. If i wear long sleeves I have to roll them up or push them up, i don't like them to touch my wrists.

I love that hat with you amazing hair, as always!

I agree with the sleeve policy. I am sort of a three quarter girl. The dress does look quite nice on you, though.
