The Remedy: Autumn inspiration

I'm having a hard time coming up with outfits lately, probably a result of a creative dearth overall. I thought I'd browse the street style archives around the net for a little bit of inspiration. I love all the layering and texture of these outfits. I need to bring out my tights and get back into the practice of layering. The simplicity of summer sundresses has made me totally forget how to layer! Since all my money is being sucked into the Brave right now I can't afford new autumn outfits, so I'll have to make my summer stuff work for fall and winter. Granted, this is what I usually do, but it'll be even more-so this season. Frankly, I'd rather eat and fill up with gas than have a new wardrobe.

That last photo of the blond is my favorite. I wish I could dress like that and not feel weird.

I always feel the same way at the beginning or end of a season. It's like I've exhausted all my current season outfits and have totally forgotten how to dress for the season ahead. I can't offer any sage advice, as my solution is usually to shop my way out of this quandary. A few new things go a long way in terms of making new outfits. Although, I will say that since I've been blogging I've been feeling at a loss less and less. There's just so much inspiration out there!

All that said, it hasn't hit me yet this season even though the end of summer is looming. It's probably because I've been too busy FREAKING out about what to wear to NYFW to think about my day to day outfits. Same boat?

Plus, you don't need to spend a whole ton of money to get some autumn pieces - that's what the Delightful Dozen is for too! ;)

I've been away so it's awesome to be back at my computer and able to read your blog :)
I've also been feeling kind of out of inspiration lately. I've been wearing kind of the same thing all the time.

I love those looks. It's making me feel inspired just looking at them.

where i am, there really isn't a problem as there's only one season - summer. but it also makes fashion immensely boring cos too much layering makes us feel too hot, not to mention, look totally weird.
oh well..so appreciate what you've got! :P

The middle look at the top and middle look at the bottom are my favorites. Though the bottom middle looks quite summer-ey. :P

Regarding Anonymous' comment: I live in a country where it is summer all the time too (except rainy season) and I must say it is a great money saver. No need to spend on new clothes every season! Woot!

I live vicariously through you guys for fall and winter :P
