nothing left to say

Are any of you guys night owls? I am a night owl through and through. Consequently, waking up in the 6 o'clock hour for work all week is relatively painful. All through high school I fought and fought for school to start later, since high school students are biologically prone to stay up later and need more sleep. In college I got to pick my own schedule, so I did everything I could to schedule my classes at 10 AM and later. And here I am, half asleep at 7 in the morning trying to be mildly productive.
I'm excited about the change coming. I feel like I talk about it incessantly, but right now it's the only thing that is keeping me sane and able to go to work in the morning. I just close my eyes and visualize myself filling up my gas tank...

I have been a night owl my whole life, and getting older, you realize how "the real world" makes this sort of impossible. Now I have a job in which my schedule is always changing, so I never know if I will have to get up at 5am or am able to sleep in until the week before.

The funny thing about me is that I also really, really love mornings - I love the feeling of waking up early AND staying up late (when i'm most creative). If it were up to me, I would be able to live on like 4 or 5 hrs of sleep, but I'm an 8 hr. girl so I have succumb to an 11pm or midnight bedtime. :sigh:

P.S. have you decided for or against an animal companion while you're on your road trip?

I am 48 and a teacher. Ia am also a major night owl. When I started teaching everyone said that I would get used to it and turn it around, never happened. Since school hasn't started yet, I was up until 3:30 last night---should have been a rock star or a Kardashian.....

Love love this outfit. Great prints mixed!
And I know what you mean about waking up early but being a night owl. I actually like having my classes start at 9am so I can have the rest of the day off to enjoy the daylight and other things.

TOTAL night owl! And I have a be-to-work-early every day job, too. I'm usually out and about until 2 a.m., in bed around 3 p.m. and up at 7 a.m. Haha, yikes.

I am such a night owl, thats why I got a job working through the night, usually start between 7 and nine and finish at 3 in the morning. Then the new day is a cheerful start at 10 am ish.
I'm a terrible grump in the morning.

I'm definitely a night owl through and through also! though this comes out to be an extreme problem during the time right between summer and when school starts... some serious re-hasing and adjusting is called for. :/

I used to be a night owl, but having a job I need to get up early for totally changed me. I still prefer being a night owl, but my internal clock just won't have it.

It other news, that skirt and top look like they were meant to be. Very awesome pattern mixing.

I LOVE today's outfit! It's so unique - and something only you would wear! I can't wait till school and I don't have to wear my boring old work uniform nearly every day.
It's funny because I'm a night owl myself, but I've found that if I don't force myself to get up in the mornings (like go to work or class), I end up not waking up till about noon!
I hope you find time to come to the lovely Virginia on your adventure. There's nothing quite like the Shenandoah Valley, even growing up in GORGEOUS Alaska. :)

I love your pattern mixing, especially when it's items of similar tone. The skirt is really cute! I'll admit, I'm a bit of a night owl too. As soon as it gets dark outside, I feel a little more productive - many a-time I have cleaned the house (quietly) at 2am, yet I can't do it when it's acceptable to make so much noise on a Sunday afternoon. Lazy girl.

i really love your skirt, it's the perfect cut & i like the way you paired it with that top. the colors really go together

& yes, i absolutely hate getting up before 10 AM. one semester i had an 8 AM and i really don't know how i survived it

have i expressed my love for this skirt yet? because I feel like I need to. it's freakin' perfect.

i'm feelin' you on the early hours. dragging myself out of bed for a 6am shift is probably the hardest thing in the world for me. it's nice being up that early though, with the whole day ahead of you like that...

much love,

Yes, I am a night owl. I go to bed between 3 and 4 in the morning, and get up around 3 in the afternoon. That's just my body's natural rhythm. Super annoying, if you ask me! But there it is.

I'm so excited for you and your upcoming adventure. I know it's going to be a life-changing and extremely eye-opening experience for you. How amazing. I can't wait to follow you in your adventures with the Brave.

being a night owl has been the bane of my existence, I remember in high school literally waking up in tears, crying because I had to get up, I was chronically late to first period all the time too. I usually don't get to sleep untill about 2:30 am every night, this is not good when you have to be to work at 9:00 am and work 8 hours, whats a sunrise I haven't seen one of those in ages lol.

the color you are wearing are all great together i really like your skirt the prints is so sweet!!!

Night owl. It is a terribly debilitating condition sometimes. Luckily I am still in university and have done the same thing scheduling my classes no earlier than 10 am, but oh I don't know what I will do when I join the forces of the real world!

I love the jacket, and I always work better in the evenings, like artsy stuff. Maybe it's just because you have to worry about everything in the morning, but in the evening everything is done.

I live for the nights. I am most creative and active in the evening and some of my best ideas/work come in the wee hours of the morning. It's a shame the rest of the world doesn't operate on our schedule... I'd be a much nicer person if I was able to sleep in everyday.
PS: Where'd you get that kickass bike? I've been looking around for that cruiser style and they're all like $600 or more! :S

I've always been a morning person. I've been able to wake up at 5:30 without an alarm since I was 7, because I had to be the first one on my bus which would pick me up at 6:30AM. . .I had an hour and a half long ride from 2nd-9th grade when I went to private school. I was last one off the bus which didn't make it any better to get home by 4:15PM
Then when I switched to public school I got picked up first one on and last one off but I got on the bust at 7:10 and off the bus at 3:20. So much better. . .but I couldn't stop my schedule.
Thing is I would stay up until 3AM from age 15-up until I got pregnant and was worn out by 8PM. haha. Now that my boys are both a little older I get into bed usually by 10:30 which is late to me now. haha. THey are in bed at 8PM though. . . and up at 5:30 on their own (OH NO!!!).

What a gorgeous outfit and I really love that bike. The prints on those clothes are so sweet. I really need to do some outfit posts again. Too much lately where I haven't been able to.

I am a night owl who struggles desperately to be a morning person, but when I make myself go to sleep earlier than usual, I wake up at ungodly hours like 3-4 am and can't go back to sleep!

Love your creative pattern play here.

Well, even if you were half-asleep, you managed to put together a pretty amazing outfit. I adore the pattern mixing and combo of the tights and boots. Awesome!

Such a cute outfit, loove the pairing of everything! looks great!

i'm a night owl sometimes too. i just go through periods where i go to bed at 4am and wake up at midday - this usually happens during my holidays. i don't like it though ~ i hate the thought of waking up so late and wasting my day!
