Star Spangled

Happy 4th of July! Every year I make this cake with my mom and take these pictures. Someday I'll find all of the ones we've taken throughout the years and compile them together.
Enjoy your barbecues, fireworks, and various festivities! I'm out in Talkeetna hanging out with friends! What are you guys doing for the 4th (Well, American readers, anyway)?

That is an epic cake!

I wanted to ask you a question. I remember a while back you had a post where you wore a butterfly belt. I have a similar one but it was a gift so i have no idea where it came from. I was wondering where you got yours?
I'm wearing mine in my newest post at my blog

Happy 4th!

We made a prime rib and some lemon cupcakes. Not very patriotic but very summery!

Omg what kind of cake is that? My mom makes one that looks like it, it is like banana pudding but it's cake. I should learn to cook no? :P

I love the look, I honestly really do, all my faves, hair scarf, cute top, It is so hot here that I can barely put anything on, let alone look cute so I am just a mess :P

Such a cool cake, wow! I wish we would have something like this in Germany! I mean we have such a holiday, but Germans are still inhibited to show their patriotism, even after all these years (we all know why...). What a bummer.
Anyway, it looks like you enjoyed your 4th of July and looked lovely in your red/white/blue outfit :)

That looks like the most delicious cake ever! I love that you bake with your mom. Both my mom and I are terrible at anything involving an oven. I watched JFK with my friends on the 4th of July and we drank red white and blue drinks, the blue and red had a kick, and the white was just cream soda. I kind of felt my most patriotic while watching the movie though...
