Small town charm

Well, the long weekend has come to a close. Back to the grind, as they say. My 4th was okay. I got to see the Talkeetna 4th of July parade! I love small town parades, they are so quaint and genuine. My favorite 4th of July parade was one in Port Angeles, Washington. This one in Talkeetna (though I heard it was the longest parade they've ever had), went by once and then back again, to be twice as long, haha. It was still only maybe 10 minutes long!

I love EVERYTHING small town, but parades are the best compacted display of what they're all about, aren't they. Great pics!

We don't really have a small town parade equivalent here, just scary little forgotten villages! I guess I'm missing out x

Cuuuuute. These pictures show true Americana. Love that. Reminds me of growing up in a small town (and the time I donned a Statue of Liberty costume to walk in the parade!). :) Thanks for posting these.

Oh, adorable! Haha, the parade in our town goes around twice as well, both because it's so short & also so that the kids can throw the rest of their candy out! So charming. :)
