Sugar and Spice

I decided to have wavy hair today, so I straightened my hair last night. I feel so weird with straightened hair. I don't like looking in the mirror because I don't feel like myself and I don't know how to style straight hair. I kind of don't feel like myself because I'm so floofy and feminine looking today (my computer is telling my that floofy is not a word). I got this skirt because I loved it on Slanelle, but I've had a really hard time working it into my wardrobe. I dress a lot more femininely than I used to, but I still prefer tomboy to princess by a long shot, no contest.

skirt/target :: tank top/F21 :: cardigan/hand me down :: tights/wet seal
boots/lulu e. bebe :: fascinator/handmade

So far I don't have much of a Christmas wishlist. I have been so busy working and trying to figure out what to get for other people that I haven't thought much about what I'd like to receive. Right now I feel like I can't have enough floral lace tights, and my other two picks were inspired by Erin of Calivintage and Tieka of Selective Potential.

Tights: UO, Tabio :: Shoes: Ralph Lauren (though these are probably impossible to find in my size...)

But my Christmas shopping has been going well! I LOVE the internet. I mean, I don't have to shove through rude people at big stores or anything! And I don't have to go out in the cold and deal with horrible drivers (and I'm ashamed to say, many people here in Anchorage are AWFUL drivers. I encounter at least one idiot per drive and I'm more concerned about some stupid driver running into me than spinning out on ice). I'm enjoying browsing through etsy for all my presents as well. There are some really fun things on there! I have received two of my purchases so far and I am stoked on them!
How are you guys doing your Christmas shopping?

I have been searching Etsy high and low trying to find some gifts and have failed thus far. Though I just bought a knitting pattern for a cute little knit flower and I'm thinking about knitting a bouquet for my mom. Other than that no ideas. Christmas will sneak up fast for sure! I wish you could show us the gifts you've bought; I need some inspiration. :)

Good Day, Queen of Tights:

I really like that tutu skirt, I can see how it'd be hard to mix in, though. Items that have such strong connotations are always hard to mix in, because it's hard to erase their meaning and assign it your own.

Don't you love how philosophical I'm getting with it? Or dare i say, Fashisophical? Dork alert.

Have a good one.

I feel like I should say..."Long time watcher, first time commenter..." :)

Really, though. Be asured you do ROCK this look. It flows really well with your hair and your porportions. I really adore this. Especially as it's branching out from what you normally wear in aesthetics.

Like others, I like the tights, but the skirt is what makes me swoon. And like you, I am transitioning the same way...more girly, but still uncomfortable with the princess pretty. But that skirt was an amazing buy/find.

Drop me a line sometime. :)

Your hair is the envy of many, I dare say, and you have styled it well. It gives a edgier look to the prettiness of the outfit. (Which I adore btw)
I too am a lover of lacy tights, clocking in with 6 pairs so far.

And as for xmas shopping? Done in Nov and am stress free...and able to spend time trawling the internet for myself!!! Actually have 2 special pairs of shoes flying as we speak to New Zealand and cannot wait!!!!

I love your tights and skirt and everything! And yayy about the shoes! Mine are a litttttle bit different, I should take a closer shot of the tops of them some time! I got them from DSW for $70 or something close to that. I'll remind myself to get a closer shot for you :D
