For those about to ROCK!

It's Halloween!!! I think Halloween is my favorite holiday besides Christmas. If we got to wear costumes on Christmas=perfect.
I was going to be a boring old cat for halloween, but then I decided to have more fun and be a guitarist from an 80's hair metal band. I wish there were still bands like this and people who were into dressing totally crazily. Like, why not wear spandex and 50 scarves?

leggings/handmade :: leather jacket/thrifted :: police hat/vintage (g-pa's) :: tattoo shirt/gift

The great thing is that I didn't have to buy anything for this costume. I actually went through a David Lee Roth/David Bowie phase in 2008, and I used to dress like this for reals.

Like, seriously? This is hot. Yes please, sign me up. Whatever people are calling Rock 'n' Roll these days is SO not.

What are you guys being/doing for this most fun of holidays?!

“For reals”?
That’s mildly scary… ;-)

“80's hair metal band” (on Halloween) reminds me of…
this clip.

Okay, it was 1991 -- close enough!

Happy Halloween…
Rock on!

What a fun costume! I think it's the funnest one I've seen. I know that isn't a word but it describes it so well. I love the photo of your knuckles!

the music of the 80's is way better than anything now that's for sure. I went all out with a victorian costume that was amazingly fun. Yours makes me smile and I now want to join my family who is listening to Journey.

Hey Tee,
These are the only leggings i've made so far. I used a pattern that I got from Joannes. They are super easy to make.

Oh really? Wow...I saw the post where you got fabric from Joannes..I didn't remember they were green. Isn't that amazing? A nod to your stylist skills...that they looked completely different in a different outfit.

Beautiful, an artful eye for styling, makeup, photography and a writer, a great head of hair (I got the same hair)...all that and handy enough with a sewing machine to whip up a pair of leggings too! tee hee! :-)

I am loving your blog!
