simply saturday

Taking a cue from one of my new guilty pleasures, simply breakfast, here is what I ate for dinner last night. This is actually my own adaptation of a few delicious things I saw there. I'm a sucker for avocado. I'm a big fan of simple meals. Mainly because I'm not a very accomplished cook by any means.

Sliced avocado :: Sour cream with dill weed :: Over medium egg :: Sparkling OJ

So, I'm leaving my job in about a month, and I'm thinking of making some bags. I thought it'd be cool to make a bunch of cute totes that you guys could buy as a sort of fundraiser for my trip. Anyway, I want to gauge interest in purchasing them so I can figure out how many to make. I don't know how much they'd be yet. I haven't gotten an estimate on how much printing them will cost. But let me know if you'd want to buy one! I thought it'd be fun to make something Winnebago-y that you guys could have... kinda like solidarity, yah know! Screw team Jacob or Edward, this is team Brave!

Totally unrelated: Last night I went and saw Step Up 3 and man did I love that movie. Sure it was a bit corny, like pretty much all dance movies are, but that's their charm! That's why you go to a dance movie. I had a smile on my face the whole time. Okay, maybe it was because I have a huge crush on tWitch Boss... no, it was a really fun movie. Definitely better than the first two. I highly recommend it.

It's amazing you do your own photos; they're all so professional! If you don't mind me asking, what kind of camera do you have?

I want to be photographer, but recently my camera stopped working and I really need a new one. But so many choices!

Anyway, have a nice day~

the breakfast/meal looks so good, I love avocado as well!

AHHH! I totally went to the midnight premier of step up 3. I agree that it was a better movie overall than step up 2, but the ending dance was nowhere near as epic as in the second movie.
My best friend swears she's in love with moose.

I'm so glad you're a fan :)

TEAM BRAVE! I love that bag. Please sell them- I want one so bad.

Oh yes! I would buy one to support you! Hahaha... I had no idea what Team Edward or Jacob was until my friend explained it to me last night.

this post reminds me of a sandwich I make that I think you would like! egg over medium, hash browns (the frozen shredded kind work best), slice of tomato and mayo on toast. I call it a H.E.A.T. (hash, egg, avocado, tomato). DELICIOUS.

I loooove avocados too, especially in my salad! yummm, I should try that sammich sometime, it looks delicious (it probably doesn't help that I'm hungry now, too...).

And I really dig your design for the tote bag; if I had the cash and if it was at a decent price, I'd definitely be interested! And I agree, down with Teams Edward and Jacob!

Holy Moses, that dinner looks amazing! Like a great brunch actually. And, sign me up for a tote. I have this odd obsession with bagging my own groceries (especially the produce because you just can't mistreat an avocado), so I'll make good use of another tote bag.

Avocados are great! I keep getting the same sandwich at the lunch place near my work only because it has avocados on it. mmmm

I love the tote idea, you should do it!

i would absolutely buy a bag from you. have to support the cause- you're about to embark on something i've always dreamt of doing, and plan on doing in the future. i just have a couple other dream-things to finish first :]

and i'm with you on the Twitch crush and liking dance movies. he was so much fun to watch on So You Think You Can Dance few seasons ago, and now he's back this season as an All-Star, woo! he's squishably adorable.

also, if you make it to the southwest on your trip, you should try a warm francesito (or bolio), with sliced avocado and melted asadero cheese. so. good.
